Think you can crack the Wintermute Alpha Challenge? This is your chance to earn a spot on our research team. We’re on the lookout for talented individuals who are deeply analytical, love digging through code, thrive on solving complex problems, and are always hungry for the next challenge.

Wintermute’s mission is to advance a truly decentralized world for more transparent and efficient markets and products. This mission extends beyond just trading; it’s about actively supporting the sustainable growth of the entire crypto ecosystem. For our research team, this means identifying vulnerabilities in on-chain protocols, analyzing complex and novel DeFi mechanisms to improve economic security and efficiency, innovating crypto-economic models that align incentives and drive protocol growth, and much more.

To discover exceptional talent, we’ve designed the Alpha Challenge — a collection of thought-provoking problems designed to test your technical prowess and creative thinking. We value people who have a burning curiosity and are laser-focused and exceptional at what they do. If you have a technical skill that sets you apart, we’re excited to see what you’ve got.

So, how do you participate?

First, fill out this form to make it official. Then head over to our GitHub to find the set of challenges grouped in tiers, along with instructions and a scoring system. You have until September 4 to submit your solutions. Here’s how you do it:

Privately import our GitHub repository containing the challenge materials

Complete your solutions in your forked repository

Add Wintermute team members as collaborators for review. The list of team members to invite will be provided in the repository

We’ll create a Telegram group to assist you throughout the challenge, where you can ask questions and get guidance from the Wintermute team.

After that, we’ll review all submissions and reach out to those who achieve the required scores. We don’t have a fixed number of spots. We’re always open to exceptional talent joining our awesome team. If your skills align with our mission and you echo what we stand for, we’d love to have you with us. And if you’re looking for a job but we decide not to move forward with you, we’re happy to make introductions to other companies in search of talented researchers.
